I'm Allen Riggs — a licensed counselor, PhD psychologist, and the founder of TheraProse. I didn't come to this work as a consultant who studied the field from the outside. I've lived it for 25 years: doing therapy, running departments, supervising clinicians, managing crises, and leading organizations.
My career spans outpatient private practice, university counseling centers, correctional facilities, therapeutic boarding schools, and most recently executive leadership at a medical university — managing a five-state clinical education network supporting 300+ osteopathic medical students and 1,200+ annual rotation placements.
Along the way, I taught myself to build technology. I created CompactReady.com — a live SaaS product used by licensed counselors nationwide to navigate the Counseling Compact — without a development team, without a budget, and without a technical background. I built it because it was needed.
TheraProse is the natural extension of everything I've done: a place where clinicians can get real support — websites, financial guidance, consulting — from someone who actually understands the profession.
